Everyone knows the time-honored tradition of waking up on Christmas morning and opening gifts in their pajamas. With children it may be a onesie, as teens maybe it’s sweatpants. But in the fashion world, you wake up in designer lingerie and curl up next to the fire.

New York City fashion professionals, vintage enthusiasts and music lovers, Nancy and RoDerick are the epitome of a cool couple in love. They flew in to Iowa to celebrate their day with their closest friends and family in a simple, creative and beautiful ceremony. As fashion photographers, we were thrilled to photograph the wedding of a couple who cares about fashion as much as we do.

omaha proposal photography – bradley + tina
We love photography for so many reasons, but one of our favorite reasons is the historical impact that photography has on our lives. It’s amazing that we can actually freeze a sliver of time and see it again decades from now. So, we are thrilled when we are asked to help document historical events. Weddings are the obvious events that most people want to remember forever – with good reason, since they are one of the most beautiful and elaborate celebration of love that we humans have created. But we love being there for more subtle historical days, too. Like proposals.

omaha fashion photography – our night at SOHA 2013
Last night was amazing. Last year we were standing outside the sold-out Style Omaha Help All runway show with tears in our eyes. This year we had the opportunity to shoot the editorials, a fashion film and intro films for each runway boutique. We have definitely come a long way.

omaha fashion photography – SOHA vintage editorial
For our fourth SOHA fashion editorial we featured a few of the amazing local vintage boutiques including Kajoma’s Boutique, Maud Boutique, Odd Bird Collective, Paperdoll Vintage Boutique and Scout: Dry Goods & Trade. We also had the great opportunity to shoot in one of our favorite second hand shops, Midwest Pickers! There’s so much goodness in that shop it’s ridiculous, and photographing these lovely ladies in their space was so much fun!
How ADORABLE! One, I love that such a fabulous couple flew to Iowa to marry. Two, I love the intimacy of the occasion; weddings needn’t include a huge bridal party and/or guest list to be memorable. Three, the photos are fabulous. I feel like i was there to enjoy the event myself. Congrats to the newlyweds!
