Hi Christinia! We didn’t have any problems this trip – we just took the boxes of film and asked if they could hand check them for us. We did leave some film in our cases (that was under ISO 400), but the Instax film is ISO 800, and definitely shouldn’t be scanned, if you can avoid it. I haven’t experimented with shooting x-rayed Instax film (it might actually look awesome, I’m not sure). But if you ask for a hand check of the film, you should be okay. It might have helped that we still had it in sealed boxes at the time.

If it’s something you’re concerned about, it might be worth translating a short note that says, “This is ISO 800 film, please hand check it. Do not X-Ray.” So that you can show them, to help overcome any language barriers. :)

Hi there! Love your Polaroids! Was just curious as to whether you had any issues getting the film into Cancun? I know that you can’t put the unused film through the X-ray machine but I know in Cacun everyone scans their bags (including your purses etc) on the way out of the terminal. Did you tell them they couldn’t be passed through? I’m wanting to take one of these cameras down for my wedding in June but don’t want to purchase it if the film will get ruined! Thank you so much for any help!

So many special moments captured – tears, smiles, laughs, hugs – I can’t pick a favorite. Especially love that image of the bouquet w/ the lights in the background. :) Gorgeous wedding & photos!
