There’s nothing like a fun Christmas portrait session with one of the sweetest families in the world.  We drove from our home in Dundee down to Papillion for this intimate in-home photo shoot.

“Do you have more Christmas lights…?”

We’re a lot different than other photographers because our studio is completely portable.  We can shoot anywhere!  For Solomon & Tabitha, they wanted a nice shoot in front of their Christmas palm tree so we showed up with our gear, hung some more Christmas lights and got to work.  We love shooting people in interesting environments.  It’s a chance to show more about that person through the photograph instead of putting them in front of a plain backdrop – which, don’t get me wrong, can be pretty cool, too.

Ocean Eyes

Solomon has lovingly nicknamed his beautiful daughter Anaya “Ocean Eyes.”  We could see why the instant we met her.  She has the biggest eyes of any baby we’ve ever seen, and they have so much depth.  She also is one of the most chatty baby we have ever met.  She likes to squeal and she likes to squeal loudly.  But she was such a great sport, when she didn’t have her tongue out….

Leaving on a jet plane…

The main purpose of this photoshoot, besides  to capture the epic cuteness that this little girl possesses, was to photograph the family together.  In all the hubbub and excitement of a new baby, they realized that they had about a million adorable pictures of Anaya, but not a single picture of the three of them together.  So tomorrow they are flying to Pakistan to visit Solomon’s family and they now have pictures of the three of them to give to his grandparents.  We can’t think of a better gift for the holidays.  We want to wish our friends safe travels, happy landings and a Merry Christmas.
