We are thrilled to share Ms. AJ’s boudoir shoot with you! There are so many awesome things about this woman and about this shoot. And, drumroll please… we unveil our first Before & After!
Outdoor Boudoir Photography… in Colorado!
Ms. AJ is one of the most inspiring women I have ever met. She served our country in Iraq, has the most wonderful sense of humor and is the mother of a beautiful 2-year-old. I know what you’re thinking. A mother of a 2-year-old with that body?? Ridiculous. Her secret? She works out every single day. Also ridiculous.
We started talking to Ms. AJ while she was still in Iraq. The planning was slow, since she was protecting our country and all, but so exciting. We had been itching to do an outdoor boudoir shoot at our cabin in Colorado for quite some time and when we suggested the idea, she flipped! So she and a fellow soldier (her photos coming soon!) decided to pamper themselves for an entire weekend filled with champagne, hair and makeup, photoshoots and even skiing.
Reminding Yourself How Amazing You Truly Are
The most beautiful and moving thing about this shoot in particular is that these photos aren’t for anyone but Ms. AJ. Following her return to the States, she and her now ex-husband went through the emotionally draining process of getting a divorce and finalizing custody of their darling little girl. I want to share this not to drag her personal life through the mud, but because I think that this shoot meant a lot to her. Because for that weekend and subsequently every time she looks at her photographs, she will remember how exquisite, gorgeous and strong she is. And I think every woman deserves to be reminded of that. Even ones that know how to shoot a rifle at 50 yards.
Before & After
As we promised, our first before and after! We wanted this to be more than just “hey, we took this normal chick and made her look hot.” We want to share with you who they are on a day-to-day basis. Ms. AJ is a mom, a soldier, a friend. But for that weekend, instead of family and work first, she came first. She indulged and became our stunning model who was waited on hand and foot. I think that both of these parts of her are important. So we wanted to show you Ms. AJ with her pride and joy, her whole world, her daughter; and celebrate both sides of her. We already have plans to photograph and celebrate Ms. AJ and her daughter together next week so stay tuned for those pictures!
